How to Measure for proper collar fit.
Proper fit starts with proper measurement. Puppy/small breed collar (L) top is a 10" collar, collar (L) bottom is a 14" collar. These collars are measured to fit from the buckle to the center hole on the tag end (indicated by pen point) allowing room for adjustment and 1"extra to be held in place by the "keeper" near the buckle.
1) Measure the diameter of your dogs neck midway between head and shoulders using a piece of string, or twine, shoe lace works well as it does not stretch.
2) Measure the string using a ruler. This measurement is the length of collar to order.
I recommend that for an "odd" size measurement you order the next "even" size up.
Examples; 13" measurement order 14" collar, 15" measurement order 16" collar, etc.
